CLASS "A" SCREENED TOPSOIL: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: PRODUCT USES: PRODUCT ANALYSIS Texture
AO AMENDED TOPSOIL IS RECOMMENDED WHEN AN IMPROVED TOPSOIL IS REQUIRED FOR INCREASED WATER CONSERVATION PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO Composted Topsoil is an amended screened sandy loam topsoil suitable for many plant growing needs. The wood and humus substances used to amend AO Composted Topsoil provides an organic component which enhances plant growth. Pre-plant fertilizer and gypsum should be added. PRODUCT USES AO Composted Topsoil will effectively support the growth of turf grasses from either seed or sod. It can be used as a replacement soil for excavated areas or as a topsoil applied to the surface of tight clay soil types. When used as a soil replacement, the area to which AO Composted Topsoil will be applied should be rotovated to a depth of 3-4 inches before adding the topsoil to the area. ROTOTIL INTO EXISTING SOIL FOR A GENERAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO Blend is screened topsoil specially blended with composted organic matter and Nitrolized Douglas Fir Shavings. The screened topsoil is a sandy loan and provides excellent plant support and enhanced cation exchange. The composted organic component supplies humus materials beneficial for plant growth and development. PRODUCT USES AO Blend is highly recommended for use in areas to be seeded or sodded with turf grass. This product can be used to replace poor soil in excavations or applied in layers to existing native soil. In this latter use, a layer of two inches should be evenly applied and rotovated 2-4 inches into the existing soil. A final layer of four inches or more should be applied to the rotovated surface. The redivision step is important because it establishes a soil transition zone. AO Blend may also be used as a backfill for planters, trees, and shrubs. USE AS TOP DRESSING FOR NEW LAWNS. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO Seed Cover/Top Dressing is an finely screened organic compost made-up of decomposed vegetative material. This is a 100% recycled organic product. PRODUCT USES This product is specifically designed for newly seeded lawns. Its high bulk-density helps to keep grass seed in place after light rolling, or slight compaction. Approximately 1/4"-1/2" of AO Seed Cover should be applied at the time of seeding . The amount applied depends on seed size. Use less seed cover on small seeded turf species such as Bermuda and blue grasses. PRODUCT ANALYSIS The elevated ECe value of the mix is not harmful to germination of turf grass seed, however, plant species sensitive to high salinity can experience slow growth and product should only be used as an amendment. WIL-GRO LIFE ALTERNATE. ALL PURPOSE SOIL 50% NITRO. DOUG FIR SHAVINGS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO Nutri-Gro produced by American Organics is a soil amendment consisting of organic components derived from natural plant sources. All wood products used in AO Nutri-Gro are nitrolized. The physical characteristics of the humus content of the amendment provide a friable matrix which enhances the texture, porosity and nutrient retention of the soil to be amended. The blend of long lasting organic materials used in AO Nutri-Gro enables this product to greatly reduce compaction problems. Improved water penetration and solubilization of nutrients results from the presence of safe, long acting wetting agent incorporated into the product. PRODUCT USES AO Nutri-Gro can be used to amend mineral soils in yard areas to be planted with turf (seed or sod), groundcovers, flowerbeds, planter boxes, etc.. Approximately, six to eight cubic yards of AO Nutri-Gro should be incorporated six to eight inches deep per thousand square feet. For planter boxes, add one part Nutri-Gro to one part soil.

AOI'S TOP GRADE SOIL AMENDMENT. 70% TREATED FIR SHAVINGS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO Amend is a combination of naturally occurring coarse mineral material designed to provide improved plant growth when used as an amendment to soils. The wood product in AO Amend is nitrolized to provide stability to fertilizer applications. This product will reduce water percolation problems in tight soils because of its wood bark and volcanic rock content. It can be used as an organic soil amendment in soils used for filling planters indoor and outdoor, backfilling holes for bare rooted or container grown plants. AO Amend will also provide needed organic matter to ground level flower and vegetable beds. PRODUCT USES When using AO Amend as an amendment to ground level flower or vegetable beds, mix one part AO Amend to two parts of the bed soil and mix thoroughly to a depth of 6-8 inches. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A fine mixture of (1/4 inch Screened) organic matter made up of decomposed vegetative material. This organic matter has been stabilized through the Thermophylic Process at temperatures between 131 degrees Fahrenheit to 160 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of 120 days. This ensures a weed free and pathogen free organic product. This base product is amended with a combination of AG-Gypsum, Soil Sulfur, and 6-20-20 Pre-plant Fertilizer which will react with native soils to reduce ECe levels, stabilize pH, and add Humus and growth agents beneficial to plant emergence and development. FOR USE IN APPLICATIONS THAT REQUIRE A LIGHTWEIGHT PLANTING SOIL. IT HAS EXCELLENT 65% NITRO. DOUG. FIR SHAVINGS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AO-87 Lightweight soil is composed of nitrolized Douglas Fir Shavings, 1/4" compost humus, a special grade of sand, topsoil and Perlite. This mixture is relatively light in weight because of its high content of compost, shavings, and Perlite. Although it has an excellent percolation rate, its water and nutrient holding ability greatly reduces leaching of valuable plant nutrients and minerals. The components of this mixture are all long-lasting, thereby minimizing undesirable shrinkage and setting which are often found with products containing rapidly decomposing components. The pH, ECe, sodium, and boron levels are all in good range for horticultural use, even with sensitive ornamental or edible plant materials. PRODUCT USES This mix is intended primarily for use as a lightweight planting mix for containers and planter boxes. It can also be used for backfilling planting holes for trees and shrubs, and as a top-dressing for lawns. For newly seeded lawns use 20 cubic feet (0.75 cubic yards) per thousand square feet and 40 cubic feet (1.5 cubic yards) per thousand square feet to top dress established lawns, or recently dethatched or aerified lawns. AO-87 is complete planting soil and its excellent moisture-holding capacity allows for reduced watering. The use of a pre-plant fertilizer is, however, recommended before planting. At least 85 percent, by volume, of wood chips conform to the sizes specified. PRODUCT USES AO Wood Chips are used as a mulch to improve appearance, maintain soil moisture, reduce soil erosion and the control of weeds along highways and freeways.
